Thanks

Thanks to everyone for reading my blog. Thanks especially to those who’ve taken time to join in the conversation with comments and posts. Thanks to John Wynne for posting consistently interesting analysis and commentary. Thanks to Alex Jones for his frequent and insightful posts. Thanks to Matt Phillippi and Michael Cooper for their contributions. Thanks also to Seth Effron, for both his clips and allowing me to post his work. Thanks to my wife, Jenae, for finding all of my typos and grammatical errors and sending them to me via Facebook, text or email even when she’s got her own work to do. Thanks to James Protzman and Gary Pearce for serving as  blog mentors and encouraging me to write, especially in the early days when it wasn’t always easy.

And especially, thanks to Amanda. She’s been here since before this blog was even a thing. Her design has given us our distinctive feel and brand. She’s kept us live when technical problem threatened to knock us out. She’s taken my frantic calls, texts and emails when things have gone haywire. Without her, PoliticsNC probably would never have happened.

Now, I’m thankful that, as I write this, my family is all under one roof for the first time in almost a year. And I’m thankful that I’ll share food and company with my extended family and friends over the next few days.

Happy Thanksgiving! Drive safely and enjoy your friends and family.

I’ve been a passive reader during this election cycle and have appreciated the thoughtful posts that made me a better informed Democrat in Person County. The current bit about Speaker Moore is a case in point. Thank you.

    Thomas,

i enjoy reading both your and Wynne’s posts. Sometimes I learn, sometimes they confirm, sometimes they are challenging, and not surprisingly, sometimes I disagree with the analysis. While the posts are thoughtful and thought provoking, i remained amazed at the bitterness of some of the comments. Reading different but thoughtful opinions makes us all better informed, and we all need to be challenged from time to time.

Thanks, I enjoyed learning about NC politics; I came from Middle Island, NY, where I volunteered for many campaigns all for the Republic Party. But the party has left me behind and awaiting for them to come back in my direction. Granted that may be a huge pipe dream.
