The photo is my view this morning and for the rest of the week. Last night, we had spot, whiting and croaker from the surf, blue crabs from the waterway, shrimp from the ocean, barbecue and slaw from Smithfield’s, local tomatoes and corn on the cob. Needless to say, it was a protein heavy meal. God bless North Carolina.

Tom, it was good talking to you on the phone. Wish I could have had some of the fish(whiting, croaker, etc). Glad not to be running this year. Enjoy the beach. Abe
Ah… I see what you did there, trying to be non-partisan and all… but as soon as you mentioned barbecue – and where it came from – you staked yourself out to a very partisan position. The Church of Eastern Style Q. (well *of course* that’s what you had; you are obviously ‘down East’) 🙂 Just saying: you’ll have to find some Lex style when you get back home, and post a pic of that. “Fair and balanced.” 🙂
What!! No chocolate cake?? Enjoy every minute of your time there.
