WASHINGTON – On the week of two landmark Supreme Court cases involving same-sex marriage, a wave of public opinion polls have shown an increasingly higher number of Americans who support same-sex marriage.

Numerous politicians, specifically Democrats, have taken notice and have come out in full support of rights for same-sex couples. Still, there are nine Democratic senators who have not fully pledged their support.

On the other side of the aisle, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said on Thursday that “conservatives have lost the gay marriage debate and that it is now inevitable.”

Host Rob Sachs spoke with Thomas Mills, a democratic consultant at Bates and Mills, to talk more about the story.
