These words have become an entirely different meaning for me and other Patriotic Americans.
MAGA has become a nasty four-letter word. They talk about Prayers in school, but whose prayers. They talk about pledging allegiance to the Flag, but at the same time they approve of attaching our Flag to a poll and then using it as a spear to attack a sitting congress. They talk about abortion as if every State and every city has an abortion clinic on the corner with a neon sign saying get your abortion here, big discounts, as if it was a candy shop. Abortion is a health issue between a woman and her doctor. They talk about millions of immigrant’s men, women, and children coming across the border to murder them. What must it be like to live in this kind of fear every day? So let them wear their red hats, their golden snickers, their Trump watch, carry their Trump gold coins, their Trump bible, as well as the other 168 items the conman is marketing to them. They have been convinced that all government workers have been taking advantage of them and need to go. I hope that now that people are losing their jobs in their states in their communities that they can see how this administration lied to them. It will become apparent soon that this was and is a cruel thing to do to their fellow human beings.
It amazes me how cruel MAGA people can be. MAGA people believe in his BS without any evidence. Thousands of innocent people have lost their ability to pay their expenses. Food, mortgage, car, health insurance etc. And they are willing to sit back and say what a great way to cut costs, destroy someone’s life. The reality is they will eventually come after you.
If this is what they think makes America great again, they are sadly mistaken. The Founding Fathers had something else in mind. We are much better than this and we prove it every day when a disaster happens. When there is a fire, flood, tornado, hurricane, mudslide, etc., we come together to help one another and do not ask about political or religious beliefs, but how we may help. Hampton Dellinger said he was dropping his case a day after the federal appeals court in Washington sided with the Trump administration.
I had the privilege of working with and getting to know Hampton Dellinger when he was practicing law in Raleigh. I came to know Hampton as a brilliant attorney, very down-to-earth person, and a man of moral character who cares deeply about our country. We need more heroes like Hampton right now in this very dangerous time for the American people.
Democrats like Dellinger, Jasmine Crockett, Jamie Raskin and Chris Murphy should be leading the party. Shumer and Jeffries are establishment tools who need to step aside.
Chapel Hill guy by background, principled man who is the son of a likewise principled man, both smart and pragmatic Democrats, a type we badly need, as you have been known to say, not necessarily using those terms. I hope he cleans their backwards clock.
Another person who could work anywhere based on his credentials but who chose public service and 1/4 of the salary. And Elon and is DOGE goons have nothing but contempt for those kinds of people.
