100%. Reported elsewhere, Stein has also spent time calling every single Republican legislator, getting to know them, asking their views. That’s a pure Jim Hunt (famous former Gov) move and worth the time and energy.
I hope his comments help us navigate these tough times. Some of what we can get done will be dictated by what happens in Washington. Federal cutbacks and layoffs promise to adversely affect us here in the State of NC.
Unfortunately I missed Governor Stein's address. He does seem to be taking the correct approach to tackling our problems by staying out of the political mud and focusing on the needs of the people.
Stein's father was a great civil rights attorney in North Carolina. Evident Gov. Stein learned a great deal from him.
We are so lucky to have Josh Stein as our Governor. I was extra lucky because he was my NC Senator before he became NC's Attorney General and then Governor.

Good summary Thomas. I appreciate your indepth coverage of politics in NC.
Spot on, Thomas. Governor Stein's address shows what our Democratic party is all about. "STEIN, IN 29"?
