While equally frustrated as you, I agree with your final thoughts of being glad Ms Headen is being dismissed as one political party needs to stand on principle here. Otherwise, there’s no one left to show a goal of humanity to reach for.

However, Thomas, we both know Shelly Headen will become the NC GOP poster child in an effort to bring out reluctant GOP voters. Why haven't Gov Josh Stein and NC Democratic Party Chairperson Anderson Clayton condemned this ?
I agree. The Republican Party has lost its way. Trump likes to dress in the symbols of Christianity. To me, that shows religion is a tool, not a conviction.
Then there is Mark Robinson. He called himself a "Black Nazi" and speaks out against abortion. Yet he has acknowledged paying for his girlfriend's abortion in the 1980s. He later married her. CNN also reported that, in a 2010 online forum discussion about a celebrity's abortion, Robinson showed more interest in seeing a sex tape than discussing the abortion itself.
The gap between what these men say and what they do is hard to ignore.
Agree. Having said that, 77MM voters in 2024 didn’t, and another approx. 80MM didn’t think it was important enough to rouse themselves and cast a ballot.
