Stability! Absolutely. But stability that works for struggling people.

For anyone interested in election protection/voter access here in NC, The NC Democratic party is hosting weekly zooms throughout the summer to introduce potential volunteers to ways to get involved.

Register here: https://www.mobilize.us/nc-coordinated/event/953396/

One of the specific ways to get involved is to participate on a monthly phonebank reaching out to voters who are being targeted with confusing and misleading messages about their registration status.

We need to hold accountable those in and around this administration who broke the law. Unless we do that, normal won’t last for long.

You are ON FIRE, Mr. Mills--and totally correct. It did not have to be this way. Joe Biden set them up to do nothing and declare victory. Instead, they've taken a wrecking ball to everything that made this country great.

The simple truth is this: the country didn’t reject stability — Republicans did, and now they’re paying the price. AND IT WOULD BE CHEEP!

I know what Trump's America is.

A white men's world.

A Haven for rapists and pedophiles.

A celebration of violence and war.

Nonstop grifting and self promotion.

Nonstop lying and corruption.

Get out of jail free cards for traitors and insurrectionists.

An orgy of tacky grossness in our nations capital.

Fascists deciding which freedoms to preserve.

* just in case anybody wants to know.

We’ve got to have some change before we can hope to have any further stability. Trump and gang have shown us our weak spots and he has set a lot of very dangerous precedents that we cannot afford to go unanswered or continued.

For any NC postcard writers out there, there are several postcard campaigns available:

* Markers for Democracy (https://postcards.markersfordemocracy.org/) has a current campaign for Dante Pittman running for reelection in NC HD 24. (He won in 2024 by under1000 votes). The focus of this campaign are newly registered (or-reregistered) voters. (Mail as you write)

* Field Team 6 (https://postcards.fieldteam6.org) has two NC campaigns to register voters - one specifically in NC-01 (Don Davis's district) and one statewide supporting Roy Cooper for Senate. (mail as you write)

* Activate America (www.activateamerica.vote) has an active campaign to elect Roy Cooper to the Senate - you have your choice of one of 6 scripts (Mail as you write but no later than July 31).

* Postcards to Swing States (https://turnoutpac.org/postcards) These are generic get-out-the-vote postcards with no mention of a candidate. The target audience is low-propensity progressive-leaning voters. (Write and Hold until one of two dates in October)

If you aren't in NC, there are many other postcard opportunities:

- Field Team 6 has campaigns in CO, GA, IA, MI, NM, and OH.

- Activate America has a new campaign for James Talarico in TX

- Postcards to Swing States also has statewide campaigns in GA, IA, KS, MI, NV, NH, OH, PA, and WI; they have just added several swing House districts in AZ, CA, CO, MT, NE, NY, TX, and VA

Well said, but the big question remains: will people make the effort to vote??

I agree: "we are going to right the capsized ship" is the best core message for the electorate at this stage.

Or/and we are sick of stupid.
