The corruption of the MAGAfied GOP knows no bounds. That they are willing to swear fealty to a draft dodging con man, career criminal, reality show host and wannabe mobster who conducts 'business' and politics the way he learned from his mentor mob lawyer Roy Cohn shows just how desperate they are for power at any cost. And the hypocrisy of MAGA's pseudopopulism continues to be ignored as this regime doubles down on benefits for billionaires and corporations at the expense of working Americans.

Whatley sets himself at Trump’s side, loyal and steady, even as many voters question Trump’s judgment , his grip on the job and his integrity. He ignores the long line of men and women Trump has used and cast off when their time was done. A man should know better. It’s hard to believe he doesn’t !

Roy Cooper is a good, and Honorable Man. I hope the people across this State that I love will send him to the Senate.

I just hope North Carolinians have the good sense to sent Roy to DC.

On an entirely different subject, can you elaborate more on House bill 1232?? It sounds like it came straight out of the Handmaid’s Tale.

Political junkies looking for an exciting Senate race should watch Texas because Cooper’s victory is in the bank.

Doug's avatar

We can hope it is in that bank. But hope is a thin thing, and it forgets what came before. Trump and the people around him have pushed hard to hold power, and history says they will push again. If there are plans to use federal officers at the polls in ways the law does not allow, or to send thugs into the halls of Congress after the vote, then we have to be ready. A nation stays free only when its people keep their eyes open and vote. And it is worth remembering this: GOP gerrymandering has no place in a U.S. Senate race. Senators are chosen by the whole state.

Murdering citizens in the streets for exercising their 1A rights?

No problem.

Take away families health care to give Elon Musk another tax break?

No problem.

Pay off violent felons to buy your very own street thugs?

No problem.

Electoral justice is coming for Whatley, to be followed by legal justice for those culpable in D.C.

Enjoy the ride you bought, GOP. Hope it prompts you to rediscover your backbones, although I’m doubtful.

I cannot express how much I'm enjoying this.

Whatley is another Mark Robinson

Sasank's avatar

Oh no. No one comes close to the utter trainwreck that is Mark Robinson.

Whatley is a mayonnaise sandwich on white bread.

Left in the sun on a warm summer’s day in North Carolina.

Boring AF, but also toxic if taken internally.

Let’s hope he suffers the same fate
