Of course, the conservative MAGA machine would spread the word about the murder of a Ukrainian woman in a Democrat run city, but they are silent about Trump's refusal to continue the aid the Biden Administration gave to help Ukraine defend itself. Add to that a wave of misinformation—more falsehoods about the perpetrator. They're pushing the narrative that he was in the country illegally. But let’s set the record straight: this wasn’t an outsider. He’s homegrown. Sorry, MAGA, the facts don’t bend to your storyline.

You'd think the right wing would be celebrating. After all it was an immigrant that was killed. Doesn't that just save them the time and energy and expense of rounding her up and deporting her???

A nit to pick about the order of your final sentence (not about the substance, with which I agree):

"They’re just assigning blame and hoping to distract from the failures the Trump administration and Republican Congress."

I think we all need to re-order this to "the Republican Congress and the Trump administration." According to the Constitution, Congress is primary: it's established in Article I (they're No. 1!).

The executive, in Article II, merely executes the laws that Congress makes or agrees to.

I realize representatives and senators are being threatened with loss of their jobs, and possibly their lives, but they signed up for the responsibility of defending the Constitution. We expect them to fulfill it.
