I've noticed I've started getting more "push polls" from Republicans and conservative PACs via text. These aren't from reputable outfits getting stats for one of these broader polls, but surveys designed to test campaign messaging.
They're easy to spot - they start out with something that looks like a general poll about the election, then quickly zero in on a particular race, offering "if you heard this about candidate so and so" questions about what would change your vote.
The only reason I respond to them (always with junk answers) is to see what lines of attack Republican candidates or conservative PACs are considering for ads.
