Hopefully it works. Higher gasoline prices and food costs will drive more into the blue lane

The GOP's favorite technique is to brand Democrats as Washington insiders and/or a stuck-up elites that don't understand the issues of everyday voters from <fill in the state>.

That should definitely fall flat with Roy Cooper as our candidate. He is authentic and relatable.

For any postcard writers out there who want to boost Roy Cooper's chances of flipping Tillis's Senate seat, there are multiple options:

Register New Voters with Field Team 6 (https://postcards.fieldteam6.org/) - there is a statewide campaign that gives you the choice of 6 different scripts about various issues upon which Cooper is running. There is also a smaller campaign specific to NC-01. (I haven't written any postcards for this one, so I am unfamiliar with the script). These are "mail as you write" postcards without a specific mailing deadline at this point. Volunteers provide their own postcards and stamps**.

Persuade voters to vote for Cooper with Activate America (www.activateamerica.vote). These have one specific message and are "mail as you write" - mail no later than July 31.Volunteers provide their own postcards and stamps** This is a self-serve platform for which you must create an account; then you can download scripts and name & address lists.

Get out the Vote postcards from Postcards to Swing States (https://turnoutpac.org/postcards/) - these campaigns focus on low-propensity progressive-leaning voters in swing states and districts. You have your choice of 3 messages which focus on voting - not specific candidates. PTSS will mail you the postcards for free (100 minimum) along with the script choices and names & addresses. You are responsible for postage**. These are "write and hold" postcard with a mailing date in October

** Currently, postcard stamps are $0.61 each, but are set to increase to $0.65 each. Save some money and stock up now!

Roy Cooper was a great governor under very trying circumstances. It’s my belief he will make an excellent Senator for our state if given the chance by the voters. He’ll be getting my vote as will every other Democrat on the ballot for whom I can vote.

Please encourage friends and family to vote up and down the ballot for Democrats - and don't forget the judicial races!

No worries there. I have no friends who would vote otherwise.

Growing up in Duplin County is something nobody can take away from me. I believe Cooper will win this race. He has the chance to obliterate the legacy of hate and fear Jesse Helms instigated 60 years ago.

Cooper's ad reminds me a bit of the Kay Hagan ad that had the 2 older guys talking on the porch. I hope it's just as effective.

I loved the ad. One of the first in a long time that felt authentic
