Roy Cooper is a good man, and he was a great governor for North Carolina, especially during covid. He took time nearly every day to talk to the public and give us honest statistics about what was going on. He has a down-home aura around him, but it’s not in any way good ol’ boy or Goober-ish. He comes off as intelligent and warm. Plus, he unabashedly loves the ‘Canes.
I really hope republicans in our heavily gerrymandered state are finally starting to wake up to all the damage that both state republicans along with the national republicans have managed to do since taking back the reins of power. It has been relentless and pernicious which will continue to only get worse if we don’t stop them now while we have the best chance we’ve had in years.
Hard to imagine anyone voting for a Republican as we are witnessing an administration unprecedented in corruption and law breaking. There is a reason Trump is doing everything he can to cheat
Rural voters might not like socialism, but I'll bet they are OK with maintaining their hospitals, affordable health care, affordable child care, school funding. This is like those polls back during the Obama administration in which people said they couldn't stand Obamacare, but sure did like the Affordable Care Act.

➡️Field Team 6 (https://postcards.fieldteam6.org/) has both a statewide campaign and one in NC-01. Both are focused on voter registration. Postcards are "mail as you go". Volunteers provide the postcards and the postage.
➡️Postcards to Swing States (https://turnoutpac.org/postcards/) has a "write and hold" campaign targeting progressive but low-propensity voters. They will mail you free postcards, instructions with a choice of 3 scripts, and a list of names and addresses. Instructions will include a specific mailing date in October. Minimum quantity is 100 postcards.
➡️ Reclaim Our Vote (https://www.centerforcommonground.org/postcards) focuses on increasing BIPOC voter turnout. You must watch a brief training video and use one of their approved postcard designs which you can purchase online. These are "write and hold" postcards to be mailed in early October. Volunteers provide the postage.
Like the traditional Vote Forward letters, volunteers include a handwritten message about why voting is important to them. These are "write and hold" and can be mailed anytime between Oct.1 - Oct. 24.

About coattails, hasn't historically it been that whenever anyone with ties to Morgan Jackson (namely Cooper and Stein) run that the coattails don't come out and downballot Dem candidates suffer? 2016 Wayne Goodwin and 2020 Cheri Beasley/Yvonne Lewis Holley come to mind for people Roy didn't coattail.

I'd seen polling that had Cooper leading by a Full Stein, but I figured they were outliers. But, as they say, "Huge if true!"
