Thanks for keeping NC voters updated on this critical issue.

This is the most coherent and strongest statement about the current political situation that I’ve read so far. Thank you!

Yes. How to fight spelled out quite clearly.

Is there anything Republicans won't do to steal an election?

LuEllen Huntley's avatar

I do not think there is any measure these people will not try. I do not know what to call people like this.

Tremendous advice! Such moral and strategic clarity. Thanks again, Thomas. Keep it up! We are with you.

And Riggs has had substantial help from the NC Dem Party but NO HELP from the DNC.

Thomas, I ran across someone who made the ridiculous claim that amongst Jefferson's challenged voters the military family members and other non=active-military overseas voters who have never lived in NC drastically outnumbers the active military overseas voters. Common sense screams that the man's claim is bullshit, but I'd like some sort of authoritative numbers to show. Do you know where I can obtain those numbers and reference a source for them?

That Jefferson Griffith is a judge at all is a disgrace! Is there any mechanism to recall him? It sounds like he has violated his oath of office six ways to Sunday!

The GOP is going to turn this entire country into Gilead state by state unless we fight back state by state just as Riggs has done.

This is such a sweet story of righteous defiance winning out over an attack on voting rights, fairplay, and democracy.

Hi Mr. Mills, "They also disqualified the votes of people who do [sic] have never lived in the US but are citizens and whose parents were registered to vote in North Carolina before leaving the country." Just wanted to check the possibility of a typo here. Is the "do" extraneous? Thank you for all your attention to NC Politics!

Thomas Mills's avatar

My apologies. That "do" is a typo. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thank you for keeping us updated, Thomas!

As commenters have expressed, thank for the finer points about fighting this mess. Staying on the ablest point keeps mess from becoming more muddy and FUBAR.

Wish dem leadership actually had a strategy to begin with.

Hi Josh, I'm curious if you are a member of the Democratic Party? If not, I encourage you to join us and get involved in your county's Democratic Party activities, especially at your precinct level. Organizing our precincts to get out the vote for Democrats is one of the best ways to support winning elections. Thanks!

I want to understand. Are only overseas ballots in Guilford County now allowed to be contested? Are all of the others safe? It was the State Board of Elections who made this rule, but Griffin contested the BOE's original decision that accepted all of the 66,000 votes.

And good for Justice Riggs to fight to the end even if she will have enough votes to hold her seat.

Very well done. Thank you!
