Fat Donnie’s family enterprise has raked in over three hundred million in fees from his crypto scheme. The real question now is whether he or his businesses will actually pay taxes on those profits!

Republicans frequently promote the notion that Americans should enjoy the benefits of living in this country while contributing little or nothing in taxes. When viewed through the lens of GOP realism, this belief implies that taxation should be selective—some citizens bear the financial burden while others are exempt.

At its core, this perspective suggests that wealthier individuals, by virtue of their status, deserve lighter tax obligations. The argument follows that their wealth generates jobs, and if the rest of society remains obedient, perhaps a few stray coins will trickle down.

Phil Berger and his NC Senate buddies are the immovable object. And they have Dan Blue and three other democrats to help them in the hopes of making changes if they cooperate. No wonder Sidney Batch was elected minority leader
