Let’s not buy into the far right conspiracy narrative there won’t be midterm elections - Republicans wouldn’t be gerrymandering if that were the case. Gov Cooper rocks and will win his election next year if we put our efforts toward supporting his Senate campaign!

I agree, but we can't wait until next year to get started! Also don't forget our important SC race next year to retain justice Anita Earls.

I attended a Volunteer All Call earlier this week with the NC Dems and there is a lot to be done NOW with respect to both registration repair AND get out the Vote for the Nov. municipal elections. (Voters who come out to vote this year are very likely to vote in the midterms).

Here are some upcoming volunteer opportunities:

Registration Repair Phone Bank:

Tues., Thurs. and Sat: https://www.mobilize.us/ncdems/event/819689/

Virtual training for How to knock doors and use miniVAN:

Weekly every Thursday 6 - 7 pm: How to knock doors and use miniVAN

Phonebank to Recruit Volunteers for Project 100:

various dates and times: https://www.mobilize.us/ncdems/event/598615/

NC Democratic Party needs immediately to establish a war room to IMMEDIATELY respond to the coming lies.

I’m pretty sure it’s already stocked up and working. Our party chair rocks!

Michael Plowman, I agree! Great idea! How to mobilize now?

I wrote a long, woeful, and sad comment that was deleted before it posted. I'll try again.

Outstanding analysis, Thomas! I'm with you, but I'm exhausted, brokenhearted, and mostly afraid - for myself and our democracy.

I have spent more than 4o years working for democrats: presidents Dukakis, Gore, Kerry, Hillary, and Harris. I have served the DNC and several state parties.

I've conducted over 3oo winning election campaigns at the state and local levels.

I'm reminded of what I have said in print and on air for decades: "The problem with progressives is that they would rather be right than be elected". Thomas, the democrats are structurally broken, living in an anoying, self-serving echo chamber that is forever going left.

It's no coincidence that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were NOT who party elites wanted.

We are continuing to die under the weight of our own self-indulgence. I can't make a rational argument to get back into democratic campaign politics in '26. So, doing it would be essentially irrational.

I could - alternatively - just wait for Trump's inevitable gamble to seize power beyond his term. I would feel better about playing golf and bartending.

Man, I am F-ing worried, Thomas. I can't bring myself to watch MSNBC. You're one powerful voice I listen to without poking my eyes out. Keep it up!

Speaking of Bernie, have y'all seen the ad about drug prices on YouTube? It uses pictures of AOC and Bernie as the draw and rants against using what other countries pay for drugs to set U.S. prices. They conveniently overlook djt's claims that he will lower drug costs by 1500 percent. I want to yell at that ad every time I see it.

The Republican party knows rural

Voters hate Sanders (so do I) and do not pay attention to the news. Democrats and Sanders must clearly state exactly what Sanders is doing when visiting and Cooper must bring in mainstream Democrats. Oh yes y’all

your voter registration forms corrected so you’re not disenfranchised

Voters hate Sanders??? What the heck are you talking about?

That statement I agree with. Check out:

Socialism doesn’t go over well in rural and small town NC

Sanders isn't a socialist. He's a Democratic Socialist. Big Difference.

He and AOC as well as the rest of the Squad are the reason MAGA are in power now

If our best hope is the federal judiciary, we are — to be blunt — fucked. That’s been the case since Bush v. Gore, and it has only gotten worse since.

If Trump & Co. poll numbers keep tracking like they are, it’s wishful thinking to expect Federal elections in 2026. God help us.

Don't wait on G*d. We all have agency.

Get involved with Indivisible; participate in the Resistance. Do NOT obey in advance. That is what Trump and the rest of MAGA want!
