The big way we can score fair representation is flipping control of SCONC by 2028 and 2030. Because had we gotten fair state legislature maps last year, Ds would’ve had a trifecta. And the GOP controlled courts are a political arm of NC GOP, just like SCOTUS is for the convicted felon in the Oval Office.
Starting October 1, 2025, the “Big Beautiful Bill” (BBB) is projected to revoke Medicaid coverage from more than 670,000 North Carolinians—prioritizing tax breaks for the wealthy over health care access for working families.
The Democratic message at every level should be as simple as: "[ fill in legislator's name here ] had the choice to help you out.S/he voted to thrown you under there bus instead. This November, you have the chance to return the favor. Vote [whoever is running against them]." This needs to happen at every level, in every race, in every district in the state. If we go into those gerrymandered districts with that message and win them, it does't matter how they draw the maps. and that's how it's gonna have to be. The Big Bullshit Bill was a gun to the head of 60 million Americans, many of them right here in North Carolina, and the Rethuglicans fingerprints are on the trigger. They knew that this bill would devastate 600,000 North Carolinians and chose to vote for it anyway. And they need to own that every day between now and November 2026.
