I've been poll greeting for Democrats at the early voting site in downtown Greensboro for 10 years or so. My little highly-subjective-observed data point is that we are seeing a huge increase in young voters, and especially young Black voters this year. Those young folks are walking and car-pooling in great numbers to vote, and this is in addition to the couple of marches they've done.
I’m an unaffiliated 100% democrat in NC. I have been unaffiliated since trump won his first presidency. It is mainly to opt into a Republican primary, if needed, to vote against crazy candidates. I’ve not needed to do that, but it is an option. I see no valid reason to affiliate in NC unless the primaries go back to being closed.
Here in Durham, a very blue place, we outpaced the 2018 early voting turnout by 7,000 votes already. At 87K, it's 33% of all eligible voters. We except to break 100,000 by the end of Saturday.

Holy hell, I hope you are correct. Unaffiliated voter here. Blue all the way (same NC w/ my NC household of 7 - wife and voting aged kids).
From your keyboard ...

I sure hope you’re right! This unaffiliated voter (formerly republican) showed up and voted early….blue down the ballot!
I love the smell of shellac in the morning.
From your keyboard to God’s ears. We need a big, blue wave to wash away some of the red idiocy NC and the USA have had to endure lately.
Beat me to it!
