My advice: never vote for a Republican, thinking he/she will put a check on Trump. They have proven themselves useless over two years. No reason to give them another chance.
I think it was Bill Clinton's campaign that had the slogan "It's the economy, stupid". Yeah, people vote with their wallets. And yeah, it looks like a wave year for Democrats, but it will be muted by gerrymandering. In decades past this would be a 50+ seat gain for the Blue team; this year 15-20. ..... maybe.
