Republicans love talking about "the people," but when it comes to lowering gas prices, grocery bills, and housing costs, Americans are still waiting. If Trump can bully foreign leaders, he can certainly challenge oil companies, food conglomerates, and real estate interests. The question isn't whether he can. It's whether he wants to. Actions speak louder than rallies. 🇺🇸

I think (hope?) Trumpism will pass when the man does. It's entirely based on his irrational whims. That said, what replaces it in the GOP remains unknown, which is hardly reassuring.

🎯Tillis says he’s concerned Trump may try another Jan. 6th. Let’s demand he puts his money where is mouth is and tries to stop him if it happens, which it will or something along those lines.

Senator Tillis is going for the middle bar: “You can fool some of the people some of the time.”

I’ll repeat what a friend has said about Tillis.

“he’s a smarmy as a Moccasin, with twice the charm”.

Do not be surprised in 2028 if you see him run for either governor or president. Likewise with Brian Kemp in Georgia.

Totally agree. Now the Guardians of Pedophiles (GOP) will cry that there’s no money for programs we actually need such as Medicaid and food stamps because they got rid of the gas tax even if it’s temporary. The GOP never does anything to help the American people.

I think I'm stealing this from someone, Tom Tillis never passes up an opportunity to do the wrong thing. Watching parts of these interviews is just so Tom Tillis. So many excuses for his stupidity. Happy he had time to write a book while the Country burns thanks to some of his decisions.

Thomas,

So succinctly stated about Tillis. He has no political spine. He still supports Trump no matter what he tries to articulate otherwise.

Early last spring I emailed Tillis as a constituent, asking him not to vote for the SAVE Act. He replied in a form letter-type email, talking about how terrible the scourge of illegal immigrants voting in our elections was, and how proud he was of co-sonsoring the SAVE Act. That pretty much tore it for me. I'd been optimistic because he seemed less bound by the GOP since he announced his retirement. Silly me.
