You may be under stating the backlash against corruption and depravity. Yes, affordability was a big deal, but I’ve talked to several unaffiliated voters who are disgusted by the GOPs indifference to any semblance of morality.
Aman, Awoman, to all you write. And you're probably correct arrogance or petty self-interest may bite the Ds in a few years. But right now there is a coalition that could last a long, long time. In a representative democracy the people, given the opportunity, will accept repression, suppression and enforcement of selfish ideologue mandates only so long, thank God!
Republicans knew what they were doing. They knew they’d face rejection when the consequences of their hideous policies hit, so they’ve been trying to subvert the system. Let’s hope it isn’t too late.
Please Thomas, lets hope, for once, that Democrats don't screw this up! Maybe we can learn from the past and work together for the good of the people instead of squabbling among ourselves and ruining it!
We MUST have new Dem leadership in both houses. People turned out to vote for Dems because we want someone to stop tRump from destroying the economy. We did NOT vote for more “sternly worded letters,” financing Israel’s genocide, or to make Putin happy by destroying our alliances. I think tRump’s blatantly obvious embrace of Putin had at least a little to do with the election results.
I was blown away by how well we did against gerrymandering. I suspect that if our Congressional Districts hadn't been Gerrymandered, that we would not have won as many Districts in NC. People are fed up. Let's hope that the Democrats can come together instead of the infighting that continues to happen. There's still plenty of racism going on even in the Democratic Party and that needs to end.

I was heartily pleased that despite the GOP’s heavy-handed gerrymandering the Democrats will soon control the NC House.
Please Thomas, lets hope, for once, that Democrats don't screw this up! Maybe we can learn from the past and work together for the good of the people instead of squabbling among ourselves and ruining it!
Keep up the good work!

We also need big time reform of the Supreme Court.
