They’re afraid. Afraid of losing their phony-baloney jobs (HT: Mel Brooks), afraid of the MAGA mob they enabled, afraid of disappearing into irrelevance. And by being afraid, they’re showing that they’re spineless cowards. A pox on them.
I am sick up to my eyeballs with these moral cretics. These fools better try to get Trump through his second term before worrying about trampling another provision of the rule of law and the Constitution and go for a third term. What utter nonsense. This distraction of third-term talk should not distract from what they are doing, including murdering civilians on the ocean, destroying the East Wing and the democracy It should unite every American against them. What has our nation become?
I have been and am wrong about many things. But I am not wrong arout the Vichy Republians who deserve not only being skown the door, but to be held to account for destroying what once was a pretty good country. I simply cannot believe what our generation has permitted to happen to the U.S. Shame on us all. The only redemption, if just a little, is to throw the bums out every chance.
And if Trump is allowed to seek a thrid term, then let's bring Obama back!!!
You’re right… and wrong. Right in that nothing they say today will have any resemblance to what they do tomorrow but wrong in that it started with the first Trump Administration. Republicans haven’t had any real guiding principle since the Eisenhower Administration (and you could argue they didn’t have any THEN either, but “Their numbers are small and they are stupid.” Oh, Ike… such an idealist…). if we work backward from Trump 1.0 we find Mitch McConnell saying he was following the so called “Biden Rule” in stonewalling Merrick Garland, then completely abandoning it to jam Kavanaugh and Barrett through confirmation in a matter of weeks — both in election years, and both well within the voting window. And who in the Republican majority objected? Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski were “concerned”, but did that stop them voting for confirmation? How about impeaching Bill Clinton for carrying on with a White House Aide, but giving president Pussygrabber a pass? And what discussion of stolen elections would be complete without Bush v. Gore? And we’re not going to pretend that Watergate was a surprise to any of the GOP who were so shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that President Nixon would do something so underhanded. And all the while, these supposed champions of “free markets” are TOTALLY on side with monopolies — which by definition are the natural predator of free markets. Trump didn’t invent Republican hypocrisy, he just purified it in the crucible of corruption that is his presidency (or presidencies I suppose). He is the inevitable, distilled essence of the Republican Party, undiluted and crystalline in its evil. But he is not the disease, he’s simply the end stage symptoms.
Calling it “trolling” doesn’t excuse Trump’s disregard for the Constitution. It’s offensive to treat our nation’s founding principles like a punchline. Grow up Republicans

James COMER, not James Comey! There's a big difference!
Man. Sorry. i’ll correct it.
Thomas, it's an easy type because Comey has been in the news so much recently.

Ground hog Day. Repeating what we know. The question is how do we fight to save our country.
How does any follower of 47 look in the mirror and not feel shame. They are bereft of humanity and have sold their souls.

The corruption of the DC GOP didn't begin with Trump. It began in the late 1980s, when House Republicans elevated Newt Gingrich to the role of whip.

Why cross paths with the emperor if you'll suffer political repercussions?? But what happens when the emperor dies?
Well in the movie, the munchkins all start a song and dance number.
Amen.
