Senator Garrett's speech was on point & truthful. Of course Republicans voted to hide it from legislative records! That should tell us all we need to know. We need to share senator Garrett's speech EVERYWHERE.

Thank you so much for including this speech! I would like to find a transcript also, will try contacting Senator Garrett about that.

Important to share, ALONG WITH the cowardly vote to hide it from legislative records!!

I have been spreading it on Reddit as well- wonderful speech and the NC GOP should be embarrassed that they tried to hide it from the people of NC because now it will get even more publicity. THE GOP are the MOST CORRUPT group of people and are the true danger to our democracy.

I watched Senator Garrett's speech last week and shared it to all of my social media. He is an upcoming star for the Democratic party. He reminds me of when our Attorney General Jeff Jackson was in Congress and wrote letters to his constituents frequently to let us know what was going on in Congress. Now, Senator Garrett is doing the same in our NC Legislature.

The GOP and the NC GOP in particular are now the party of the neo-confederacy with the goal of permanent single party minority rule. They are hijacking our electoral system with the cooperation of corporations and billionaires. They are on the verge of criminalizing all political dissent. The notion that the Biden administration did anything approaching this GOP assault on free speech simply because they opposed the flood of dangerous misinformation spawned by the COVID epidemic is ludicrous.

Thanks, Tom. I would have missed this.

In the 2010 gerrymandering, wasn't it David Lewis who said the only reason the made the districts 10/3 was because they couldn't make them 13 GOP? My memory isn't what it once was.......

Sen. Garrett made a sobering and truthful speech today. Too bad the GOP wouldn’t even allow it to be registered in the official record. That in itself tells us all we need to know about how much they hate our system of governance and the voters who elected them.
