I have long thought, at least since the school voucher program started, that using tax payer money to pay for our children, no matter their parents’ income, to go to private schools would be unconstitutional. I’m surprised this hasn’t been contested in court.

I don’t think I’ve ever hated a legislative body and what it’s done as much as I’ve hated this one from the beginning. I could see their intentions for NC from the git-go and they haven’t disappointed their Heritage Foundation masters in the least. If we could just recruit decent people who actually give a damn about our state and all its people this next election cycle, maybe, just maybe we could all work together to turn this upside down ship aright. I know we have some good candidates running-it’s just a matter of helping to get the word out so we can support and vote for them.

As a Democrat, I have to remind all that the Democratic-led legislature ignored Leandro as long as the Republican-led legislature, although Dem leaders did not try to destroy the public schools.

I truly believe that we must refocus our energy on the 🐘 Party rather than the 🎃 individual, because 🎃 isn’t the one who was able to put himself in front of the world; the Republican 👺 Party did that!

Like @Suki noted; 👹 and the 👨🏻‍🦳/ Heritage Foundation are to blame!

I asked AI what needs to be done to register them as a terrorist organization. 😒 AI let me know that it’s impossible.

I think that the 🐘 Party set up that response, because the 👺 Party is a freaking Tax Exempt Organization, so why can’t they be a willingly infiltrated Tax-Exempt Terrorist Organization⁉️

It’s a freakin TETO!

And healthcare. My spouse is an OBGYN, moved to the southern part of NC from NY. She is appalled by the gap between what she sees, and the policy from Raleigh. And incredulous they keep voting the same guys back in office. The "backs turned" is demoralizing doctors and teachers.

I think the actual goal is a poorly educated working class propagandized into believing someone besides GOP&Heritage are to blame.

The goal is the same it's always been: ensuring that rich white, Christian men get the education and leadership positions in society they (and no one else) deserve.

Deceiving them that their interests are aligned, by focusing on whiteness and castigating out-groups, keeping them in their place. Right out of the plantation mentality playbook.

Won't anyone think of the poor little NC GOP legislators and their donors that have investments in private school companies and firms selling homeschooling materials?
