Don't do it, Thom!
Tillis will regret his vote for Todd Blanche like he regrets his votes for Pete Hegseth and other unqualified cabinet members.
Just a few weeks ago, Senator Thom Tillis told reporters that he regretted his vote for Pete Hegseth to become Secretary of Defense. He almost certainly regrets his vote for Kristi Noem. He called for her resignation before she was unceremoniously shown the door. He probably regrets his vote for Tulsi Gabbard and RFK, Jr., two nut jobs who shouldn’t be employable at all, much less at the highest echelons of government.
With a record like that, Tillis should certainly be questioning his judgment. He’s clearly not a great judge of character.
Now, Tillis looks prepared to make the same mistake again. This time, he seems ready to confirm Todd Blanche as Attorney General. Blanche was Donald Trump’s personal attorney and seems to be more loyal to the president than to the Constitution or the people of the United States.
Blanche will do Donald Trump’s bidding. That’s why he’s been nominated. As bad as she was, Pam Bondi had lines she wouldn’t cross and Trump fired her. Blanche doesn’t seem to have any.
Tillis seems to be pulling a classic Thom Tillis. He’s been garnering all sorts of attention because he’s made a big deal about getting rid of the slush fund for the January 6 rioters. He’s said that if Blanche didn’t make it go away, he wouldn’t vote for him.
Now, he’s equivocating. Blanche says it won’t be used and Tillis is going to take him at his word, just like he did with all those other bad votes.
Don’t do it, Thom. Show us you’re more than just bluster. Don’t fall back into the pattern of saying what’s right and doing what’s wrong. And don’t find yourself making excuses for Todd Blanche.

I wrote to Tillis:
The "fund" was always a fake. Trump doesn't care about the supposed victims it was supposed to help (like the My Pillow idiot and the people who invaded Congress). The critical part of the deal was to exempt the Trump family from tax review, ie, he'd never have to file an honest tax return on the billions he's made while in office. The "fund" is to distract everyone from seeing how much more he's stuffed his pockets.
Todd Blanche created this scam "fund" to protect Trump. Of course it won't happen. Blanche seems to have succeeded in protecting billions in grift for the Trumps. This alone is grounds for voting not to confirm.
A leopard never changes its spots.
