For all the alarmist conversations about progressive democrats, may I remind people that Trump will continue to be President, anything will have to go through Congress which will not move particularly far to the left, and Republicans are likely to continue to dominate the NC legislature. The more progressive democrats will have a seat at the table, but their influence won't be dramatic. I think the news media has been hyping the discord/ differences within the Democratic Party; rather what they need to do is pull together and realize that they are all one big party whose aim first and foremost must be to stop Trump (and as Cooper says, lower prices and spend money to help the average person). I hope Democrats in North Carolina can figure out how to speak more clearly. There's no need to embrace the left flank, simply talk about the kitchen table and working class agenda.
