Seems to me in this Red District 9 that the time is ripe for a "traditional" Republican to primary Trump-conjoined Richard Hudson. Shelane did a great job as an independent in the general election two years ago, but there must also be districts like this where the fight is really between the current (collapsing) Trump/MAGA versus the future Republican party, where a sane, moderate Republican would be preferred. Say a Republican Sen Mark Kelly!

I heard David Clayton speak last summer. He might be a candidate who would meet your criteria.https://www.clayton4nc.com/ After hearing him, my immediate thought was how do we get Democrats not to field a candidate.

Checked out your link as I live in that district. Two words: Hell NO! A libertarian is MAGA in sheep’s clothing. And since when do libertarians believe that the “government should work for the people”? 😂

The bar for this horribly gerrymandered district is extremely low. Horrible people such as Charles Taylor, Mark Meadows, Madison Cawthorn, and Chuck Edwards have been elected in this district, so you have more of chance than you should.

Libertarians are the only ones worried about tyranny all the time. Blue covid tyranny as well as red ice tyranny. We are the only adults in the room

By equating "Blue Covid Tyranny" with "Red Ice Tyranny" you have disqualified yourself.

When you pledge allegiance to a party instead of principles, you surrender your ability to think critically. You accept whatever candidate they serve up, whatever policies they pivot to, whatever compromises they make with your values. Independent voters—the 43% of Americans who refuse this intellectual surrender—maintain the freedom to evaluate each candidate on merit, each policy on evidence, each promise against performance.

Why don 't you explain what the "Blue Covid Tyranny" was, in your opinion.
