Iโ€™m so sad to read about Fetzerโ€™s passing. He, along with your whole family, was such a wonderful part of growing up. I have such fond memories of the intellectual discussions, the humor, the creativity, and yes, the occasional mischief that kept us all entertained. Your words and portrayal of his life are beautiful. Reading this tribute, I came away feeling that Fetzer somehow lived many full lives in just one lifetime.

Oh Thomas, I'm so sorry. I've been thinking about Fetzer a lot lately. I'm about to go down to Weymouth tomorrow and I have such a vivid memory of the time he and I spent down there. What an amazing person he was. Holding you and your family in my heart.

What a beautiful and perfect testament to the life that Fetzer lived on his own terms. I remember so well growing up and watching him and my brother, Marshall, and the rest of you Mills boys and a lot of other Wadesboro boys run around, often getting into minor predicaments. Iโ€™m so sorry the world has lost Fetzer, Thomas. May you find a lot of comfort in knowing he lived a good life. Hugs to Penny!
