I had the honor of working on his student body president campaign, and the way he approached that was a key inspiration for me to run the following year. I learned so much from listening to him talk in his inimitable, deep voice. I was going to say "I wish I had kept up with him better," but reading your obit, Thomas, I realize there was no keeping up with him! I'm so sorry for your and Smithson's loss, and the world's loss.
