Happy 7 days post surgery for total hip replacement. It’s been kinda rough with pain, nausea, going unconscious 3 or more times, and all that goes with the territory. And so worth it. As I write this now my caregiver is sleeping 💤 in other room. Do not want to wake up Tash till appointed time which is 30 minutes from now. I can handle the pain for 30 more minutes, but I needed distraction so I responded to the response in rap form to take my mind away from pain. It’s a form of play so I won’t wake Tasha till time. She’s been too good. Connie my dear, sweet, beautiful, smart baby sister says to me, “Lu, do not wake up Tasha all night long during her shift or she might leave us, and we can afford to pay for night shift caregiver but not two. So I play words till time to text Tasha and wake her up from sleep 💤 to come and help me. Pain is trickster friend. If you get my drift, good. If not, that’s OK too.
LEH day #7 hallelujah. Brother Bill and Joanne come to visit later today. I can hardly wait!
